A/C Compressor Delete
Hey guys I'm new here I have an 04 Galant ES 2.4L for my daily, I sent it into the shop the other night because of some grinding noises I thought maybe it jumped time but it turned out to be my A/C compressor. The shop wants a lot of money to fix this I would have no problem doing this but I just put almost $2000 into the car a few weeks ago. So for the time being can I delete my compressor? Also some help on what I need to be able to delete it would be amazing. Thanks in advance.

Also if possible what belt would I need? If I pull the A/C fuse would that stop the grinding noises coming from the compressor? I just need a temporary fix

Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like a pulley is bad. How are they sure its the ac compressor? Did they take the serpentine belt off & move all pulleys to verify the bearings?
Replace it with oem parts
