This, is, beautiful!
I knew there was an Air Suspension option (it says so in my hand book), but never in my life thought I would ever see it! shame you had to get rid of it, but knowing more than a few "professional" drivers, and the issues they have on wagons and busses with air bags/shocks with leaks, rot, dust clogging up the air lines I can understand your reasoning removing it.
That and I once worked with a guy, had a brand new Audi with all that jazz, loved to brag about it, but within 3 months it was haemorrhaging air left and centre, cost him £6000 for parts alone as it was not covered by "warranty".
Think he paid more for the work than he did for the car in the end.
Plus, all the work you have done, it really is beautiful, hopefully I will some day get to post images of the restored version of mine.
Thank you so much, the past years the car have many others rare parts now, on the outside it's nearly the same but the desktop have and engine looks much better now ;) sorry my english
OK, now I want to fly out to Portugal to see it!
It has been beautifully done, it really has!
Thanks a lot
I do my possible to keep the car so good i can
You can come it's no problem for me
The car still needs a few parts that I have allowed to come from Malaysia, there are some in Japan already really difficult to have because this model is almost "extinct"
Where did you buy the parts?
Do you have website addresses?
From a guy on facebook do you need also parts from this model?
In the package the following has come:
2 lower plastic parts from the front doors with the hole for the speaker;
2 Front Tweeters;
2 Automatic folding side mirrors;
Switch for the mirrors.
All of these original Galant model, had a very long time to find this parts and also managed to happiness.
If all built at the same time to share with the rest of the original that I have some time: car stereo (CD and cassette), switch for manual one-off of your power antenna, front door speakers and cup holder.
Here are the pictures from the work of the dors
After several hours and a lot of patience, the door panels are finally done: Have taken the panel from the E88A because they are in better condition than that from E54A.
First, remove the lower plastic part.
In the rear part of the panels was marked where the speakers and tweeters must install exactly so I just had to cut in the exact position: TT
A long of the years the vinyl from the doors win some air bubbles, went to the liner and he told me there was no way to make that disappear, the truth is that I use a lot of patience and sensitivity with a hair dryer to blow the bubbles away, you must heating the vinyl a while and slowly pull the bubbles to a hole (eg. window switches) and then everything disappears. : nick
The new plastic part already at hand provided with all clips.
Stuck with a very good silicone.
Then saddled in the same interior.
New painted in the original color.
The result
Will let the white Door light that has come with the plastic because it is also very rare and looks more modern.
