Time to check compression. You may have bent valves when the timing jumped.
After our serpentine belts broke and new ones put on the shop said our timing jumped, they fixed it under warranty and now it will not start. Starter:good. Alternator:good. We've sprayed starting fluid and it tries but won't start up. Even replaced fuel pump and cleaned out strainer too. Also had key reprogrammed because we thought it was the immobilizer. Any ideas?

Is that something we should have a shop do?
