2000 Mits Galant ES 2.4l Amplifier RCA's. Not sure where to plug them in.

Hello All !!!

I am in a dilema.... OK my Galant has the Infinity system with a factory amp. I replaced the head unit, door speakers and the rear 6x9's. I bought the proper Metra adapter for the new head unit to communicate with the factory amp. The new speakers sound great. The problem I have is I also hooked up a new amp and 2 10 inch subwoofer box and don't know where to hook the RCA cables from the new amp because the Metra adapter has taken up all of the RCA connections on the back of head unit. Please help!!! Thank you.

You should have bought a deck with 3 pairs of rca connections. Front, Rear and Sub. What you have is a 2 pair with Front and Rear selectable to rear or sub. So now what will need to be done in order to retain stereo sound is get some Y adapters to split the rear signal to the factory amp and sub amp.
