Everything is looking sick, especially the mirrors! Out of curiosity and I hope I don't offend, but is your air filter a temporary thing? It's just that I've heard bad stories of those type coming apart, and the middle piece being sucked through. But yeah man keep up the good work, I'm digging the updates.

What middle piece are you talking about?? I've had the same style filter forever no problems.

Is he using the same exact brand filter?? I'm using the Aem and that's a great quality unit. No center piece like that junk in that link.

I mean I'm not sure. I should probably clarify not all open tops are probably a risk like aem, injen,k&n, etc. I think the centers of those are molded in. It's the usually the ebay types with the chrome look. Like I said I don't intend to ruffle any feathers, but I've been following a guys r32 build lately on youtube who had the chrome type at first. People in the comments recommended he switch, and by next video he said he did. He was just finishing his single turbo conversion too. I think they felt like I do about this build, you like the car and hate to see something minor potentially cause something major you know what I mean?

Like I said it could be something he knows already or trusts the filter enough not to worry.

    I get what u r saying. And I don't know what he's using.

yeah I actually might be wrong about some k&n. I forgot the original filter the guy with the r32 had was k&n from when he unboxed it in a past episode https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WFTi8j7HvKs ffwd to 4:55/6ish but I know they make better ones too. But yeah he switched to aem also.

I see it. I have never paid attention to those. Maybe that's an old K&N design.

Thanks for the concern the filter is just a temporary unit. So no feathers ruffled here.

Shaved down the control arm bushing before class today. The prothane one has a 10mm IIRC bigger diameter than stock and obviously no grooves. It is intended for the later style control arms.

That's odd. I installed prothane bushings in my front lower control arms on Monday without mods. The rear kit is going in tomorrow and/or Friday. Who makes those front STI sway bar links? Will only the early STI generation links fit?

Different years have different bushings. 8ga vs 8gb
