50$ but he told me he drilled through one of the holes to try to make it work. I can provide pictures when I get home.

Rolled out of the garage ready to go to the fab shop for new down pipe and other safety items. Heres a open pipe video, its cutoff right before the oil pan. Sounds awesome but obnoxious.

(does anyone know how to post the actual video instead of just the link??)

That was actually a couple of weeks ago, I picked it up a couple of days ago but brought it straight to the Evo shop Ive been going to for years for them to inspect my work and set the clutch and run it on the dyno before I take it to the track.

First track outing in two weeks.

There pretty close geometrically, the rear bushing and bolt are vertical as opposed to the 8g rear bushing and the front bushing and bolt face the same way although i never measured to see if they were the same size. The ball joint slips on to the 8 g knuckle fine and the biggest difference is the weight. The evo lca weighs significantly less the the 8g lca. Is it a direct swap? No, you would need the tubular subframe.

Brian told me the control arms swap on directly and the tubular subframe is for fitting the transmission and transfer case without the need to hack the stock subframe to make it fit.

No thats not true, if you go back to some of my pictures youll be able to spot the major difference which is the rear bushing.

Well then maybe minor modification is needed? Because we all know Bryan used the evo tranny before he got the tubular subframe done. I haven't him compared your pictures yet. I will take another look

Ok then I got myself confused for no reason. The evo transmission swap needs axles and hubs. Not sure why I thought control arms are needed. Scratch my previous comment, it's still too early for me lol

Lol no problem, it doesnt need the evo arms its just the subframe was designed using them.

I notice the Evo 4-6 uses a similar lower arm to the 8G but I'm not sure on dimensions on those. Maybe I should ask the Mirage guys about them.
