    Unorthodox pulleys installed!!!!

Got my pulley set from UR last week and put them on yesterday. I think it was worth the money.

Just thought I'd let you guys know b/c I know some of you were debating on wether or not you should get them. I got the PS, Alt, WP, and crank pulley. The install was kind of a bitch, but that's probably my fault.

Anyways, just a heads up, lata.

I don't know....the butt dyno method isn't very accurate. I can tell a considerable difference though.

Were they made for the Galant?

If so, where did you get them? I just dropped my block off at the machine shop. I might as well change the pullies while the engine is out, it would be so much easier.

Get the pulleys for the '96-'99 Eclipse Spyder, they bolt right up. Although I did have a scare when I went to put the WP pulley on though. Apparently when it was machined the hole in the center of the pulley where you bolt it up to the WP wasn't smooth so I broke out the dremel and smoothed it down (took all of 2 seconds to smooth out).

I'm happy w/ them, I have no problem screaching tires now.

    Screeching tires?
I was under the impression that pulleys gave more high end power in the higher rpm range? Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Btw, did you have to get new belts as well?

I had to get two new belts. And I can tell more of a difference up top, but I can still get my tires loose fairly easily now.

So how much you spend on all that? I see the underdrive pulley alone is $200...

A complete set??? Or just the underdrive pulley?

I'd be cautious dude.....I know the jobber (i.e. wholesale) pricing for their pulleys and even the top level wholesellers can't get a complete pulley set for that price. Not even close.

yeah it's the complete set. Some dude was parting out his gst and sold his underdrive pulleys for $200. He said he got them from UR and was trying to get some quick money. No one even tryed to outbid me. It was a chance of a lifetime
