Hi Guys, https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

This is what everyone has been waiting for, XIRacing Headers are finally done!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Xtreme Import Racing will offer a group buy limited up to 25 people on the first batch that's coming in. The group buy price will be $499.00, after that we will sell the headers at retail price of $699.00.

We will start a new post for the group buy right after we get the dyno results, however, if you are already interested in being a part of the group buy please contact us through phone or email so we can put your name down.

We need a volunteer to let us install and dyno the headers on the car. This person will get to keep the dyno results as well as get a free install, however he will have to pay for the headers ($499.00). We will need the car for 2 days, 1 day for the install and the 2nd day for the dyno.

Here are some specs on our headers:
- 304 Stainless Steel.
- Polished for show quality looks.
- TIG welded.
- Mild steel flanges.
- Stainless steel flex-pipe.
- Stock location for the o2 sensors. (no need to extend or modify).

We are waiting to hear from you. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Sincerely,
Ben

You may want to post the city & location where the volunteer will need to take his/her car. Could be a deciding or limiting factor...

Depending on your location, I would be interested in being a test subject. I live in N.Y. I am interested in the headers. Thanks

Hi 00GTZ00,

That's correct, these headers do not include cats. They will fit the Fed Spec as well.

pinoyesv6

The first batch is expected to be here in 6 weeks, by the end of December.

kickenv6,

We are located in Southern California, Ventura County.

Thank you,

Hi leadfoot,

We will be more then happy to start working on the 4cyl, however, first we need to see how this product moves and get the first batch out.

I have the money set aside if you are willing to set something up in N.Y. I have a 99 ES V6. I would like to know if you can set something up for me here on the east coast. Thanks

Hi Cali,

Thanks for the offer https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif However, we found a brave volunteer today who is located very close to our location.

Hi 00GTZ00,

That's correct the fed spec version will have the extra o2's blocked off. As for the SES light we took care of that with an o2 simulator.

atx,

Not sure what you mean by numbers, if your talking about horsepower gains were expecting them to be in the mid 20's. The price for the install will differ between the shops, depending on where you go it can be anywhere between $200 -- $500.

Thanks,

Hi atx,

These headers will work with the stock exhaust piping. The car that we will be using to do the testing on is completely stock.

Thanks,

Mante

are these headers CARB approved? probably not huh? is there any plans on trying to get these ehaders approved?

ok this might be a stupid question, but how do you know if your car is cali or fed spec. I bought my car used so I'm not really sure where it came from originally. Is there any special markings?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(pinoyesv6)</div><div class='quotemain'>are these headers CARB approved? probably not huh? is there any plans on trying to get these ehaders approved?</div>

1) Why do you care? Maryland isn't a CARB standard stsate and there are no known plans to enact CARB standards here.

2) Do you know of any headers for the Galant that are CARB approved? Kamikaze, RPW, AMSS and HyTech's aren't, so perhaps you have some inside information you'd like to share.

if your headers look similar to the XIRacing headers, then its a fed spec.

but if they look like mine http://pinoyesv6.galants.com/album/mecar/22.jpg ('http://pinoyesv6.galants.com/album/mecar/22.jpg') then its a cali spec car.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Fishboy55)</div><div class='quotemain'>1) Why do you care? Maryland isn't a CARB standard stsate and there are no known plans to enact CARB standards here.

why do i care. maybe because i dont' plan on living her in maryland all my life. maybe i want to get headers. maybe i want to move to a state that uses CARB standards.

from that list u said yea they aren't CARB approved but you know what, maybe trying to get these headers carb approved might jsut give XIRacing the upper hand in things. hell, i plan on moving to cali soon and it think it would be pretty nice to have my headers on all the time instead of taking them off every once in a while for inspection.

Hi Everyone,https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

As you all know for the past 2 days we've been working on a 3G member car doing the install and getting the dyno results. The car we used for the testing was a 2003 Eclipse GTS. The headers look awesome on the car and we will post some pictures for you very soon. The install went smoothly and all the o2 sensors plugged right in, without any modification.

As for the dyno results we are extremely impressed, we gained 23.3HP and 12lbs of torque. Keep in mind that these numbers are untuned and on a GTS, which already flows a lot better then the GT. We are expecting to see better gains on the GT models.https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

With the stock exhaust the car wasn't that loud at all, it was louder then stock of course but not loud enough to get pulled over or anything. We have heard the AMSS headers on an eclipse before and our headers are a lot quieter. Once you are at WOT the car sounds very aggressive and the power is even more impressive.

We started a GB on the headers, heres the link. Hope to hear from all of you soon.
