purchased 03 galant...need help

i recently purchaced an 03 Galant DE (bottom line galant), I want to do a transmission conversion from automatic to 5-spd. Does anyone have any suggestions like what kind of manual transmission would be compatible with my 2.4 eng? what do conversions like this run?

What kind of body kits are offered for my 2003 Galant, I am looking for the Skyline kit, does anyone know where i can find it? What year Galants are compatible for my 2003 Galant? What are good websites for my galant to buy items for it such as kits, suspension, wings, lights.

does anyone know if my 2.4 engine is the same as the Dodge SRT-4's 2.4 engine?

If you have the money, time and skill a 3rd generation Eclipse 5spd tranny fits in perfect. Do asearch for it cause a few months ago someone did it and posted everything about it on here. As for body kits, a few members on here are having a custom one made right now, and you can also check out www.erebunicorp.com or do a search on yahoo or something and you should get plenty of results. They have wings and other accissories too. For compatibility, the only difference in the body between the 99-03 Galants is the front bumper, so any body kits for those years will work. There are also carbon fiber hoods and all kinds of other awesome things for looks and performance. As far as lighting, it depends on what you want...headlight bulbs, corner bulbs, aftermartket fog lights and tail lights too. For suspensionsearch the web...if you are looking to drop it I suggest you check out http://www.tein.com/stech.html ('http://www.tein.com/stech.html') , but companies like Progress and Eibach make great springs too. Lastly, yes the Dodge uses a Mitsubishi 2.4 Liter Inline-4 engine, and our 3.0 V6. Hope this helps and good luck with whatever you do, peace. :twisted:

MOST of anything else you find on the web will not fit directly. some are harder than others to fit.

and for most everything else, you can do a search on ebay. make sure that the years are correct tho....

Actually, the 3rd gen Eclipse starts in 2000, not 1999.

yes they do use our engines but no the engine is not the same as the one in the eclipse/galant

supension. they are not exactly the same but many of the components do work in the galant. same thing with the engine.
