ok, so tommorow tuesday the 18th, my sprint springs, and kyb gr2 struts are finally getting installed. i plan to take plenty of before and after pics, and will try to get pics of the process. what i want to know is if anyone has any tips of any kind, or if anyone else has any specific questions about the setup.

but first i have a question. i took one of my struts out of the box, and i was just checkin in out, are they sposed to be pressurized? cuz i like pushed the rod and it went right in. it offered no resistance at all. im not familiar with how struts are supposed to work. so do the struts provide any resistance at all or do they just control the bounce of the springs?

I was able to push in my rear KYB AGXs and front Koni inserts by hand, but I had to use a little bit of muscle. It wasn't quite as easy as you seem to be saying. But, then again, I don't believe I ever tried mine by hand on the softest setting which would be comparable to the GR2s.

Hydraulic shock absorber automatically adapt to the severity of the shock. If the axle moves slowly, resistance to the flow of fluid will be light. If the axle movement is rapid or violent, the resistance is stronger, since more time is required to force fluid through the openings. By these actions and reactions, the shock absorbers permit a soft ride over small bumps and provide firm control over spring action for cushioning large bumps.

i got this from here ('http://www.mycarwizard.com/autoshop/susptext.html'). you can scroll down to shock absorbers if you want to read more.
