i was at my dads and it wouldn't even try to start. none of my lights were left on or anything. so we jumped it. i get to my moms, and turn it off for a test start(have to try). and it doesn't try again. :x

either dead battery or bad alternator

do you hear a clicking noise when you try and start? if so, it might be your starter.

i doubt its the starter just for the fact that none of the lights are coming on. your battery may not have enough juice to turn the starter over completly. i'd take the battery to AutoZone© and have them test it for free......

ummm, i apologize, i must have misread it. i thought he said he didnt leave the lights on, not that none of the light turned on. but yea, autozone WILL check and charge you battery for FREE. it usally takes abotu 1 hour, depending on the battery.

i actually had that same problem a couple weeks ago, turns out it was that the negative wire wasnt tightend all the way so it was a little loose. try that!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Since he could drive it when he started it, it does not sound like a bad alt.

Maybe bad battery, since it does not seem to be holding a charge. And yea, double check to make sure your connections are clean and tight. Go to AutoZone, they are cool like that - test the battery.

damn josh. you and me both brother. i just popped my hood today to see if i could figure it out. and sure enough that's what it was. tightened it and it started right up. thanks for all of your help.
