Just wondering, If i do get a 8g for my next car it would be the newer style 8g....well does anyone have JDMs head on 02-03??? Cause the jdms are not as wide...just wondering if it fits well with the grille

I don't think it will fit well with the factory 02-03 style grille. You could go with the JDM grille, but then you'd have to swap fascias or mod the factory one. Otherwise the JDM's will fit, just not fit with the stock front end. Just my .02

True....but I was just thinking......you can swap 99-01 headlights with 02-03 with no problems....so that means that the 2 grilles obviously have the same curves and angles.....so I think there wouldnt be a problem...just the little gaps like the 99-01 have with JDMs. Im just wondering if anyone has tried to do it

the JDMS are actually about an inch wider than USDM, but they are also shorter (not taller) where the grill and headlights meet (the JDM grill is both narrower and shorter compared to USDM), so even w/ a USDM '99-'01 bumper, there will be a slight gap underneath the headlights near the grill at the bumper (assuming u used a JDM grill as the JDM's will not work w/ the USDM grill).

here's a few pics:

look closely at the tolerances... at the corners, the JDM's fit perfect (very snug), but approaching the centerline of the car there is an increasing gap underneath the headlights and grill that is about .75 inch at the largest point.
