8g 7g ???

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between 7g and 8g Galants. I have a 2002 es. What is it. 7g or 8g

in the US the 8G galants consists of the galants of the model years of 1999 and newer. the 7g are the 94-98

The 8G is also the first to offer in V6 trim I believe...world wide even? Always up for corrections...

there actually are V6 7G's in world and JDM trim... but the US is the first market to get the 3.0 V6 SOHC (6G72) in any galant.
