The last couple of days it's been really cold here. Just after I start the car in the morning and turn the steering wheel, it slips a little. It only does it once or twice and then it stops. I checked the fluid level, its fine. Anybody had this one before?

Our PS pumps are pretty much crap when it's warm out. Yesterday (5deg) at idle my steering wheel barely functioned in parking lot scenario. I suspect the PS fluid changes character pretty significantly in really cold temps. I wonder if there is a synthetic alternative that maintains its characteristics?

Ive noticed when my g is very cold, the PS pump whines like theres no fliud in it, but the resivior is full. It almost like the fluid freezes. once it warms up its fine. Its annoying

My car has been doing the same thing. At first you can barely turn the wheel for about 5 minutes. Dealership cant do anything about it....
