Hey guys once again I need your help I dont know what I would have done without TGC. Well here we go. If I was to upgrade my 2000 ES with a Japanese spec Engine what kind of Engine do you guys reccomend
I am looking for more power has to be automatic cause I cant drive stick and if I can get something TipTronic that would rock.
Also would it be diffecult to get parts if anything ever goes wrong.

Now option two I was thinking of is come this summer or later when they crash up some of the new 2004 GTZ models get one of those Engine I think they come TipTronic as well the only think I dont know if it will fit.
Maybe that might be better move I dont know.

Please let me know what you guys think on this matter.

Its gonna be cheaper just to get the Ripp SDS. You get over 170 hp more from it and you don't have to change anything liek the pistons or connecting rods. Just do that and you'll be happy. www.rippmods.com

Did you do this.... how did it work for you?? And will I have to worry about anything blowing out or anything like that??

And is this the best price on the net for us??

I just called them they are close to me in Staten Island thats a plus for me.

And thanks for the info.

I haven't personally had the opportunity to purchaise this kit yet, but I know plenty of people who have. There really is no issue with blowing up as long as you keep everything up to date like your fluids and such. Depending on your model whether your an I4 or a V6 motor it wil cost anywhere from 4-5 thousand to buy the kit and then about another grand to do the install and tuning. Then a couple hundred to buy and install the necessary guages to keep track of the vital areas. Good news is Ripp is right there and will be able to do the best install since they made it. You'll be hapy with the results. Just from the numbers you're gonan be pushing atleast 300whp and maye more if you have the V6. Anyway good luck.

I think I will have to do tranny work with this as well what you think??

Well Ripp has stated that no work needs to be done. However. You can bulletproof your auto tranny with level ten only if you think its necessary especially if you wanna get crazy and start pushing above 11psi of pressure from the Blower. Normally however if you just want power and don't wanna tweek, or just waan keep it as is for now and then later on go get bulletproffed thats what I think. Seeeing your wantign to stay auto, there haven't been any engine or tranny failures fromt he autos running the amoutn of boost Ripp has intended, however if you start tweekign and wanting more power, thatthe tiem to get bulletproofed.

shane's tranny with the level 10 and was bulletproofed pretty much turned into soup after he put some nice power into it. you might wanna look into some other options for the tranny. i hear b&m might have something, the manual swap would handle the power a lil better than the auto also.

Explain B&m to marky Pinoy he doesn't know what that is. Also he doesn't want a manual so manual swap is out.

b&m is a performance company. they mostly did peformance stuff, for domestics. they are very well known for their tranny products. but recently they started to do more products for imports. and then in the link that marky posted, there was a post from a member saying that they saw a peformance torque converter and possibly more products in one of b&m's paper catalogs. the L10 stuff have been tested by shane and has been proven to flop so maybe b&m might have a better shot. won't sign my life on it to say it will work better than the L10 but its worth a shot for someone who wants to upgrade

Now, did anybody do just the tranny swap? How much does it go for? Is it worth it? Where can I do it? Ripp?
