they make replacement fog light bulbs for the galant. they sell at AUTO ZONE or PEP BOYS. From what i understand as long as it is an H3 type bulb it will work with no problems. your cars electrical system has a regulator on it so you won't blow something or melt something in your case. just like at home when you put a stronger bulb in a light fixture it won't blow it out. give it a shot if it does melt the wires you can get a replacement harness for about $6 from almost any car part store. :idea:
