Noise

My car when it gets to 65 or above sometimes makes a noise like when a bearing gets stuck but a part keeps turning. At the same time my speedodmiter pegs out, but as soon as I tap the brake it stops. I think it is a pully getting stuck. Any sugjestions.

I don't know - can't really tell. Where is noise coming from? Front, rear?

It's hard to tell. but if tapping on the brake pedal makes it stop, it must be somewhere from the drive shaft to the brake assembly or wheel bearings
