 Someone please shed some light on this.. (no pun intended) I had the piaa's and one of them just blew, now piaas are not cheap, $75 for a pair, and the sylvanias are much more cost effective,.....as far as light output..
which ONE!!?

Vic,

How much are you willing to let remaining bulb go for?
One of my Piaa blew some time ago. I had mines for 1 1/2 year before one blew.

I've been thinking about getting this pair of Osram, which is the same as
the Sylvania, I think.

I'd give it to you for $25, i guess I have no reason to keep a pia with a silverstar.. let me know.

I had PIAA Super Plasma bulbs for 2 years. One of them finally just blew out. I then bought some Eurolite bulbs and within 2 weeks one of them blew on me. The PIAA's were worth the money to me, I got them for $55. They had a real nice purple color too.

yeah b4 i converted to HID, i was using PIAA super plasmas exclusively and they are by far the closest to HID that i have seen (including silverstars), none of the other bulbs even come close. only problem is the PIAAs were hard to find at the time and were pricey ($80-$90/pr). but the coolest thing about the super plasmas is that the low beam and high beam put out different colors since they are tinted differently.

I definitely prefer PIAA's over sylvanias. From my experience, the beam goes a bit further and brighter. They both look similar if u'r facing them.I presently have RAZO extreme white (just wanted to try it). Ilike it alot, but when they blow ,I'll be happy to go back to PIAA's. They both last me close to 8-10 months . I work nights and my commute is 90mi one way.
