In a '99 G what type of bulb is it? umm I think it's a 9003 but i want to make sure on that as well; also the corner marker bulb is it a 157? thanks

and i searched and are the H4s the same as the 9003s? also I dont have the cash to afford real HID's now, but of course I want something that looks like it - i like the purple actually - but anyways - the silverstars are good for the $$ but they DO NOT look like HID, i know family members of mine have Acuras and 350Zs and Escalades, they do not look even close - so what bulbs will look like HIDs but not spend $1000, I know this question has been asked alot, but it always seems to get jacked and go to a different topic - thanks

PIAA super plasmas in H4. trust me i have converted to real HID but the closest that i have ever seen are the PIAA super plasmas that i used to have b4 my HID conversion.

btw, converting to real HID only costs about $500.00. just make sure you get an H4 hi/low conversion so you can keep the functionality of your high beams.

i've seen the kits for as little as $350 for hi/lo with hella balasts.

Reelax, you can do the conversion for only 350 - 500? Does that include ballasts bulbs and everything you need? also i was gonna go ion yellow on the fogs - ya think that'll look alright?

also Reelax are the new bulbs actually as bright as HIDs or even close? I'm thinking maybe go ahead w/ HID if i can do it prety cheap since the PIAAs are pretty expensive, and since it's the same wattage would I have to upgrade the harness? I didnt think I'd have to - but if someone can help me out w/ a deal on a good HID conversion kit lemme know USDM lights so the single Hi/Lo - and i'll probably never convert to JDM so i wouldnt need the two hi and lo - so let me know thanks

there are no filament bulbs for automotive use that even come close to HID, i just wanna make that clear, but the PIAA super plasmas are the closest i have ever seen. as far converting to real HID, u can find a hi/lo H4 kit for as little as $350, but i just picked the average price... my H7 low beams (for my JDM headlights) alone were $630 (4250K-10,000K adjustables which can sweep from white to blue to purple to pink) and i've seen some conversion for as much as $899, but yes there are cheaper taiwanese and korean versions for about $350. you shouldn't need any additional harness w/ the PIAAs or the HID conversion since both are pretty much plug and play.

the HIDs for about 350 - 500 do they look as good as ya know stock ones on like Lexus etc? and do they last I understand that they cannot be adjusted to different colors, but that's ok - let me know and if anyone has a good webpage to go to for good deals let me know

you're not really going to get the "halo" effect that you get with the bmw or audi or lexus because they use projector lenses. the projector lenses focus the hids and that's really what causes the halo. from what i understand you'll still get a slight halo effect but not to the same extent. however you'll still get all the visibility benefits of hids and they'll still have the crisp white/blue light. cheers.

HID should last longer than your car. there are in fact adjustable color temp kits out there since i have one (4250K-10,000K) in H7. and here is one of the best hi/lo kits i have seen online: http://www.misterjung.com/dualbeam.htm ('http://www.misterjung.com/dualbeam.htm')

I have a pair of Nokya Arctic Purple H4s (Now called 'SPW', which can be found on Ebay). They have been the best bulbs I've had by far. Here are some pics.

I never upgraded my harness, and I've probably had more bulbs in my Galant than anyone on this board.

are they as bright as HIDs , what i want to do is either just upgrade my bulbs or get HIDs - that's the decision I'm trying to make now
