I was told that I might have a leak on my gasket c'uz my coolant wouldnt stay full w/i a week https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif & I smell coolant even right after I turn off the car.

Im thinking when they painted my valve cover must be one of the reasons why now I have a leak. but that was a couple of years ago.
Could it have been that they didnt replace the gasket when they put my valve cover back?

Or is it possibe that its the effects of spraying to much too. Last year was the most that I have sprayed I should say. There was several times that I did more than 100 shot (125- 150).

Maybe driving for a while not knowing that I had a hole on my intake c'uz of rubbing w/ the battery tie rod?

Now, for your suggestions! Instead of just replacing the gasket. What will be the best thing to do to help soon w/ my FI.

This is what I have in mind:

- Port and Polish heads Wheres the best place to go?
- Rebuild heads ( valves, rockers & lifters ) = make them free moving for better flow.
- decking the heads to the block ?
- cam job Any other company besides RPW that we can get the cams for? From what Twisted had said, he never got the right ones even on 4 tries.
- Cam gear ?
- Do you think its the best time to go hybrid  with EVO heads :?:

Let me know, all yah knowledgable peeps out there...

it shouldn't be the valve cover gasket since inside of the valve cover, the liquid inside of that is oil not coolant. but yea when you do remove the valve cover you shoudl buy a new gasket or use some kinda gasket maker.

the intake shouldn't be the cause of it too

when u park the car and come back do u see coolant on the ground? maybe u can work ur way up from where its dripping.

or when u stop the car, pop open the hood and see if u can pinpoint where that smell is comign from

Tom at toms auto in northtown, he will diagnose it for you. He diagnosed by rear main seal problem for free. I dont know if he will hook it up for you for free, just tell him you will come back later in the week once you get money and he wont charge you. but dont go back to him, find out whats wrong and go to JDM.

Thanks Pinoy & Matt. I went yesterday to JDM unlimited & we found out what was really wrong. Its not leaking gasket nor nothing about the cooling system. Its the lifters... Im going back on Mon & they're gonna tell me & do whats gonna be best for my heads!!!

Btw Matt they had me test your car yesterday https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif  Props to you my bro. To me theres nothing wrong with it big dawg. I just think its just right after you start your car & its not warm enough yet. I think you might wanna call MSD next for your next upgrade.

If coolant was leaking into your engine, not only would you notice a decrease in your coolant levels but your engine oil would look like you poured a cup of milk in the crankcase.

Anyway, glad you found out the problem...
