My friend is about to let me have his 4g63t engine for a good price and all I need to know is the pieces that I need. I did some research and this is the list that I came up with give me some suggestions if I'm missing anthing https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif .
1. Engine
2. Wiring Harness
3. Ecu
4. I heard that I should et new engine mounts what type?
5. Also will I need to upgrade my fuel line??
6. Should I take the side mounted intecoller or just buy a different better one instead?
This is my summer project so It won't be on my car ammediatly but I also want to know if it will be safe with my transmission on it or if I should get a 4g63t one. I know there is a post on this somewhere but it doesn't exactly answer this question. Thanks 8)

What tranny do you have? Auto or manual?
What year is the engine from? Is it a 1G or 2G?
I can tell you exactly if you let me know, I just did the swap.

Either way, its easiest to use your galant harness and a 2g T ECU(The AWD version has no Speed limitter https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). You look like you are on the right track though. I am going to try to get buy using stock motor mounts for now.

Intercooler, depends how much power you are wanting to make. SMIC would probably be easiest as you most likely could use stock 2g upper and lower ic piping.

I went with this though

The engine is a 1g 6 bolt 4g63t I think it belong to a 91 talon. I know that that engine came with an automatic transmission so htat means that the cam gears are smaller as is the turbo. My boy told me that because my car is manual, I will have to buy new cam gears and possibly a bigger turbo but he isn't to sure.

No you dont, they just did that to tame it down so the A/T tranny wouldnt have a fit. Now was this engine from an AWD car? If it was, you need a new 6bolt FWD flywheel. A new clutch/pressure plate with throwout bearing couldnt hurt either.

I believe the auto version put out 186hp where as the manual version puts out 195hp. A/T came with less aggressive cams and a 13b turbo. The injectors may even be 350cc compared to the manuals 450cc injectors. If I were you, Id just buy a set of manual cams and a 14b off the DSM boards https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

The 4g63T with a Auto has a smaller tubro (14). You should not have to change the cam gears. You will have to mod the 1g mount or you stock mount to get it to fit right. It never would hurt to go to say a big 16g turbo.

if you go 16g, the evo3 16g is unbeatable for power to cost ratio https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

Also a 2g or evo3 exhaust mani couldnt hurt while your at it hehe...

only the fuel pump. Stock 2g turbo pump or a walbro 190 unless you go with a 20g or larger, then grab an afpr and a walbro 255

when you say 20g are talking abou boost

20g is a Mitsu turbo https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

a walbro 190 is usually good for 19-22ish PSI of boost, if you want to run upwards of 25 PSI, go with an AFPR and the walbro 255

I know the "camshafts" are different, at least for 1gs...

cams are less agressive but I dont think smaller gears makes sense. They both use the same part number timing belt, if the AT had smaller gears it would throw the timing on the car way off, and you probably wouldnt be able to tension the belt lolol
