I have a question about JDM/EURO vs USDM fitness. Is it the same for shocks and springs?

I was thinking about getting some KYB AGX dampers with some adjustable coilovers, but i have no idea if it will fit my Europe G.

Anyone has any idea of if it will or not? Pricing for those shocks and springs in Sweden is amuzing. Count on $1700 at least, and that truly sux:(

No, USDM 8G's have a totally different suspension than JDM 8G's.

I don't know the details but I can tell you JDM and USDM Galants have different chassis. You 'could' probably find a shock or strut that works but it won't be from the USDM Galants.

Although I hope Mante sees this (or anyone with a JDM and USDM) he can give his first hand opinion.

Well I am faced wit the same problem. My car is a 1997 JDM Mitsubishi Galant. I would like to drop it but cant find any info on what springs and struts to use

the jdm galants are also a lil tricky when u are buying suspension parts since there were several chassis for the 8g galant. you have the usdm setup, and then the awd chassis and then the euro/jdm fwd chassis. so don't forget to look out for that.

hi all... I was looking at the KYB Australia catalog and looked at the Part number for GR-2 and noticed it has the same part number for the USDM

... so i was thinking that, maybe USDM and JDM/Euro has same shock setup even though if its sedan or liftback... (cross finger that AGX would fit my car)

Q. though... does anyone know if the KYB's part number for their shocks are universal? or per state/country?
