Heres the deal. I bought an engine from a this dude and its is going to be shipped to me. I need to know the best way to pack the engine so that it can be shipped to me without no to minimum harm. I just need some advice as to doing this cause i ain't trying to have it damaged due to shipping. Thanks

engine are pretyt string all together. the parts that i woudl say to be careful with are the pulleys. as is when i recived my new engine, the "Harmonic Balancer" was damaged. so be careful with that. im assuming you will have it on top of a crate, which is a good idea. how bout a wooden crate made out of 2x4s and 1/2inch plywood

My motor was shipped to me on a crate, strapped down onto it. They set the oil pan on a soft wooden block so it was not damaged when they tightened it. Then alls you really need to do is wrap the whole thing in plastic wrap and maybe put some styrophoam under it if you are really worried...
