Looks good. Did you guys have any problems with the timing this time? I want to do my timeing belt on my engine by myself but Im scared :lauging:

Not really. Rob is good at timing belt jobs. We used 4G64 DOHC camgears so it was a cinch. I think if its your first time doing it, its better to do it with the engine out of the car so you can see everything real nicely.

No tests yet. Waiting to get those valve cover bolts that I lost, and a half moon cap for the end of the exhaust cam. After those are installed and some clean up work is done I'll let you all know how it runs, if its really much faster than SOHC or not. I did notice that my ECU is adding 5% more fuel in the long trim, so it must definitely be getting more air, which will probably result in more power. I believe the DOHC headswap is only worth the money and effort if you are planning on turbo charging your car. This is where the DOHC thrives and the SOHC will not produce as much power.

I am a Headswap Yoda.

The force is now with moosh. I would have liked to test drive it to compare the feel to my own DOHC Hybird Galant...but he didnt have the halfmoon or the outside bolts for the valve cover so I told him dont drive it cause under acceleration its gona start leaking oil like crazy and make a big mess.

Having driven a few cars around. I can tell ya that my DOHC 5spd moves faster than most anything with less than 8 cylinders. I have beaten all the N/A 4 cyl's that I have come across, and I have taken most of the 6's, only V8 race was with what looked like a Merc Maurader but may have been a Impala SS, not sure. Either way, it was a matter of my headlight at his rear tire, so there is some credit to the galant DOHC, though some of that I would like to think was the 5 spd and the nut with his hand on it.....

Also, where do you get those headers, mine are not the same and I like the way those are laid out. Mine has cylinders 2 and 3 sharing a pipe. See pic.

So its the stock SOHC headers. Ok. Wonder if they are better than mine? Any ideas?
