Would they fit nice on the G? I already talked to the guys at Dragon Wheels and they said itd be alright just need a second opinion? I'm just gettin the wheels first and gettin tires later this ish is expensive. Also... does anybody know if I'd need to get new hub rings or wheel spacers with this setup? Check it out and tell mw what u think.

those are pretty slick. i saw them on a BMW, i think, the other day. very nice. i never thought those would look good on any car.

and you have to ask them what the offset of the rims are, then come back here and ask us if its close to the stock offset. im sure you'll be alright tho. they are only 7.5 inches wide or so.

good luck

Hey COGalant did u have to upgrade ur suspension when u put ur 18s on?

what you mean upgrade? for wheels, its not necessary. if you lower it, you'll need to get some afterlarket struts and an alignment as soon as possible after dropping it.

and that offset is pretty close i believe. the number i have in my head is like 38. so thats pretty close. and with offsets, we are talking millimeters, so 2 is not gonna be too bad.

good luck and get pics up ASAP!!!!

will i be able to drop it at all with 18s? and how much? Yeah ill defianetly get some pics after I put em on. I gotta get tires next. Credit line is sllllllllliiiiiiiimmm yah dig or else i just woulda saved money and got the whole package. the wheels themselves will be enough motivation though. another question so i can save more money here on these tires. whats the highest profile size i can get for these wheels and whats the lowest profile size that'll be able to fit in the wheel well?

I wish I read this earlier, you 'should' get larger tires. Those 215/40-18s are too short to be easily useable. And your sidewall is almost non-existant.

The best size of tires to get for a 8th Gen Galant is: 225/45-18

alright but heres the thing the guy at dragonwheels says im gonna have to go smaller because of the wheels being so big that the clearance from the wheel well is gonna be slim. personally I could care less im lookin for tires that r inexpensive and aren't gonna end up bending my rims.

No, no, no. For 18's you want 225/40 tires. I've got 18"x7.5" rims with 225/40 tires and that's as perfect as you can get. If you were getting 17's, then you would want 225/45 tires. I used to have 17's with 225/45 tires and that was also as perfect of a fit as you are going to get.

As far as offset goes, stock is +46mm. With wider rims like 7.5" and on, the best offset is around +45mm. Now, my 18's have a +42mm offset and fit fine dropped, so with a +40mm offset there is only a 2mm difference and should still fit fine. That is, if you stick to the 225/40 tires. There have been G owners with rims that have +38mm offsets and they seem to be alright too, but others with +38mm offsets needed to roll their rear inner fender lips after dropping.

Oops. I just realized that I gave you the wrong size for 18s.

The optimal size is: 225/40-18

Hey since we're at it, for my graduation, my GF gave me this wheels

http://216.120.250.216/pictures/wheelpics/VT1837.jpg

Which I'll add 225/40/18 tires.

They should fit fine without any mods at all, right? My 2000 ES is not even dropped.
