it seems that my car burns more when i am at idle ..... when i stay parked with the car running for along time the stronger the smell and more noticable the smoke is
is this just a sign that my engine is about done (150k)?
is there anything i can replace or fix?
is there any oil out there that is better for an engine with alot of miles on it?
thanks

The best oil I know of is Mobil 1 Synthetic : http://www.mobil1.com/index.jsp ('http://www.mobil1.com/index.jsp')
As far are the smell goes if you getting oil smell when you inside you car I suggest you get some spray 9 : http://doitbest.com/shop/product.asp?dept_...9HDS17UC&SAFE=1 ('http://doitbest.com/shop/product.asp?dept_id=3225&sku=602655&mbrid=4724&mscssid=7913NJGJ11F58PWL0457PGFE9HDS17UC&SAFE=1') spray your hole engine down with spray nine let it sit for a few minutes, like 10 minutes then spray the engine down with water, Make sure after washing down with water to leave the car runing for about 30 minutes for all the water to dry up and not short out any wires.
Most of the time when people complain about smelling burning oil from there car its bacause maybe there is some oil that spilled on there engine or something like that and any oil spilled on your engine will keep burning for a long time and come up through the vents.

You are probably leaking oil somewhere which could be numerous places. With 150,000 miles on the motor...sounds like seals and gaskets need some replacing.

Places to check for leaks:
-Valve cover gasket
-Cam seal
-Crank seal
-Oil pump seal and O-ring

Those are the most common places oil will leak. Hope this helps.

Joey, Most likly it is you needa valve job. My 4g64 did it, so I swap the 63T in it. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif .. But the valve job with more the likly fix it. I suggest a leak down to see for sure.
