what kind of kit do u guys want for ur 7g?

sethmo
06-14-2004, 06:54 PM
A nice non-rice kit that compliments the curves of the 7g. No gay agressor style kits. Something not too flashy. If it looked right, I would buy it...

peanotation
06-14-2004, 06:58 PM
um, not to be an asshole, but you are aware that only about 10 7Gers will be up for buying one. out of curiosity, why are you asking :?:

sethmo
06-14-2004, 07:09 PM
He is with eRacing1.com or something of that sort correct? Im sure we could get 25 buyers IF you were serious about making the kit. Last few times we tried we couldnt get enough support from the company. I think we can do it...

Blue Ice

I'm interested, but TBH i'm more interrested in an agressor style. But if i like it i'll get one.

06-16-2004, 08:58 AM
im very intrested, depends what it looks like...and i want something that is flashy, juss not an over kill.

:nono: This is probably the 4th time the subject about another 7g kit has been brought up. I am interested....almost done with the motor crap, now starting to focus a little on the body of -G-rim.

ArtyG
06-16-2004, 11:58 PM
no doubt i'm interested. my main concern is having tha $$$ when the time comes since i'm always moving from project to project. but yeah, i guess count me in as being interested for development of a kit. who knows if this will actually go through.

my name is mic from www.erac1ng.com and we're the one that made the usdm initial v version for the 8g. right now we are making the usdm vr4 version also for the 8g. just give us 10gb for the new kit of ur choice and we will make it happen.

10gb price will only be $550 plus shipping or $500 plus shipping for 15 or more gbs. it will only take us 7 weeks to finish the project.

ok 550 sounds pretty good. sorry guys but i'm 1 of those maybes. it depends on my cash status in about 2 or so months. honestly though its looking good.

i was thinking sleek. maybe square the lights so ours would fit. kinda aggressive thoughhttp://www.wingswest.com/product_images/559/595.jpg
i'm a big evo fan so the vii or the vi frontend would be nice. just since we have a shorter car shrink it alittle.

big problem with the erebuni front is that it's kinda low, so we should aim for a non-snow-plow front bumper, cause the erebuni one is OK, but is too deep, just screams intercooler

x3m
06-18-2004, 04:25 AM
$550 plus shipping is a full kit and we only need $50 deposit if u guys have agreed on what kind of kit u guys want for ur 7g. i know each and everyone of u have its own taste but we can only project one new kit.

Damn for that price I might get in on it and just sell the front bumper afterward.

I vote for that 240 style bumper that was proposed the last time.

Sideskirts and rear bumper should be subtle.

brandon
06-18-2004, 10:31 AM
Here's the ghetto pic of the 240 bumper again:

http://tgcia.galants.com/240bumper.jpg

Perhaps something like this for the rear bumper (minus the license plate slot):

http://i5.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/e9/f8/89_1.JPG

With that front bumper, you'd be able to keep your turn signals (maybe have them enclosed though as opposed to how they sit in that pic).

new member here...whats up fellas...been on this site for a couple years but just now was able to register; the registration would never go through. Please don't call me a newbie, I've owned my 7g since 1998, have done lots of mods to it, done tons of research about it, and have a good amount of knowledge about it. Also, my brother is an ASE Mastertech and we both have several friends that are into the performance of mitsubishi.

Anyway...

Put me down for a maybe for the kit...but I have two questions before I make a decision:
1.) How much is shipping?
2.) Fiberglass or polyurethane?

I was afraid I was gonna have to get the ebay or nopi kit...I'm glad I came across this post. I got the $50.00, just need to get my questions answered.

I don't really care which kit you guys decide to go with because I trust the opinions of people on this board. I like the Evo style but the 240 is nice! Don't like the ass end of the 240 kit though. Anything is an improvement to what is currently available to us!!!

Could someone photoshop the front bumper without the grill, just like the 240 in the picture. just curious to what it would look like with no grill between the headlights, but instead all bumper.
Don't want to say i'm in yet, I was a huge fan of the Cwest Evo 8 front bumper. Although people don't like the only kit we have, i love it, it's just too many people have it.

I'm with Brandon, need to decide on sides and rear before I jump on the list.

So everyone is in agreement with the 240 front, correct?

After looking at the pics on 4-g-rim's post, I don't know about that rear bumper (it's okay) but I don't think it will look right on a 7g. Anybody have any other suggestions?

The side skirts are okay but again some more options would be nice.

That back bumper is almost identical to the stock one really... Just longer and has that bigger slot for a muffler. ::shrugs::

Couple of questions for you x3m because I just had a BAD experience with erebuni. Let's say someone damages a sideskirt. Will they be able to get a single replacement sideskirt or will they have to buy the pair. A similar thing applies to the front kit. The erebuni front is two pieces. The main piece and then a bottom lip that bolts onto the main piece. Assuming that the front on this kit is two pieces would the same thing apply?

Not busting your chops, but I think these are legitimate questions considering the bullshit erebuni pulled on me.

Not to make a complaint, but....

this is the closest that I have seen a "body-kit" get to being made.
Alot of you might not know this, but most of these "group buys" never go through, which is why we don't have more body kits.

REASONS being....people back out, or don't come through with the money, OR the company backs out...or....
the people never agree on ONE STYLE OF BODY KIT!!!

so just...look, agree and shutup, and pay the money!!!

I'm not rude, just being honest!!!

I want a bodykit just like everybody else, I just don't want the same body kit that every other Galant driver has. I like this, and I'm IN!!!

depending on when you need the money, I'M IN!!!

I'll opt for the carbon fiber lip. I'll probably end up getting the full erebuni kit front and all. Use that front for everyday and the 240 with carbonfiber lip for shows.

new style full kit $550 plus $130 business shipping or add $30 for residential.

240 style w/ lip in fiberglass is $250 plus $130 business shipping or add $30 for residential.

full kit and front bumper has the same price for shipping coz its the size of the box that matter and not the weight.

94-96 for me. I'm in. What is the decision for the sides and rear? Erebuni 8g style?

Is there anyone that can photoshop that on a 7g? Just want to be able to see it before I buy it. Maybe that would help people to decide if this is the way to go. Thanks.

This whole process is irritating me.....just pick a style, and go with it, lets get this made...!!!

why have two diff. kits? for the years?

just take out that middle section between the nose header, and call it a day...looks better without it anyways...

sethmo
06-26-2004, 04:27 PM
Heres what you do. Make a universal header/tbar to replace both years of cars and call it a day. Makes it easier to mate a grill to it as well...

I was under the impression that all x3m needed was 10 7grs, and it doesn't matter which type of 7gr you were. As far as mounting the mold will be the same, which i think would be the hard part anyway.

X3M if you do the 8g erebuni rear, how much for the front and rear.

If the shipping is reasonable you MIGHT have another person to add to the list.

x3m, sorry to be a pain, but I just want clarification on a few things before I send my deposit.

1-When will the complete kit be produced and ready for delivery?

2-I asked about getting one complete kit and an extra 240 front bumper...total shipping on that would be $130.00 to a business?

3-I will be putting a deposit down for the complete kit and another deposit for my friend who wants just the front bumper; if he backs out and decides he doesn't want the front bumper, can that $50.00 deposit be applied to the purchase of my complete kit without a requirement to purchase the extra 240 bumper? 8)

Thanks for all your help with this x3m, I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we appreciate having access to a different style kit. And out of curiousity, what would the retail price be on this kit?

I'm with you street lets decide on a rear and a set of sideskirts. I really don't care as long as it's not too flashy. Just nice and simple like the front.

What about you street?

So x, we need 10 total that are purchasing the entire kit or 10 total where 8 are getting just the front and 2 are getting the entire kit.

For those that want to purchase the entire kit let's make a decision so we can get this rolling.

We got 10 7ger's already listed and interested in the 240 front....lets get that started now. There are mixed opinions on the sides and rears....if we wait on a agreeing concensus on a FULL body kit, it would probably take another year or so. I will be be getting mine shipped with Streetdreams, shipping is $40 extra, right?

Ok...so if the front bumper drops to $200.00, are you gonna drop the price of the entire kit down, say to $475.00? 8) I will be sending payment on Friday via PayPal. Just want to let y'all know so you can count me in as # five...I'm not gonna back out at this price...plus AWDsuperstar would be pissed if I backed out and he had to pay the full $130.00 for shipping! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

original gb for the full kit was $550 now its only $500 plus shipping and this is the lowest price that i can bargain with u guys. $500 is already a good price for a brand new style kit. come on streetd, $25 wont hurt right? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

when the kit is done, i will give u guys 2 months to come up with the money. lets say starting next week that would be 3 months for u guys to save some money for the kit.

I hope everyone here understands that the only way x3m will" put you down" is if you pay the deposit of $50 bucks. We are at the point where money talks, and the rest of it walks.

x3m Go ahead and put me down for the whole kit. 94 front end, i know i emailed you for just the bumper, but i'll take the whole thing now.

https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif Doesn't hurt to try! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif But, yes, $500.00 is a good price for the kit that you are offering. No complaints here. And to agree with the other members, you are doing a great job organizing this GB, thanks.

Deposit sent via PayPal, please add me to the list for the 95 kit. I agree with the erebuni 8g rear and sides.

Also, x3m, thanks for the fast responses and for answering ALL of our questions. I read back though the posts and could not find one question that you did not respond to...if that is the kind of customer service and respect we can expect from your company, than I think we are all in good hands.
