Alright, I think its about high time that the 8G crowd had their own FAQ like the 3G guys. A conglomerate of the most asked questions. Sooo give me some ideas as to what I should include. So far these are what I have (mostly taken from the Club 3G FAQ):

Ya know I was thinking about making a FAQ too, but never had the time.

Definitely need a JDM section.

I actually put together an excel sheet with some headers information that I gathered from 3G forums (great minds think alike  ) - I try and put them up soon.

There was a color chart that I posted on Galant Forums that I also "borrowed" from an eBay auction that would be a good addition.

Are you going strictly text, or gonna go graphics/html?

JDM - I'll add that with to "Model Differences" category.
Anytype of info will do great. The headers info can go into "Mod List>Engine>". I want to do this with HTML so I can have the pics and stuff.

Where are you planning to host the FAQ?

I know I'm getting into specifics here, but things like torque specs, fluid capacities would be a nice addition.

Im not quite sure yet, possibly geocities. Im working on the skeleton website right now.

Both. I just added some stuff to the engine part.

How bout stuff like interesting links like this one:
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/docs6/h...html/galant.htm ('http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/docs6/history/html/galant.htm')

If we have submissions, do you want it sent to you via e-mail?

Thats good but its over simplified. The site I making is going to be a bit more dynamic. Its going to look similiar to this site: http://forrest.apache.org ('http://forrest.apache.org').

I'm using their software to make it. I would rather people just submit their input right now in this thread and I can keep updating the first post and gradually the website (it will take about a week to get the whole site perfect).

I just uploaded the site onto geocities:

Talk to Burthold (Wes), or Maz and they may be able to include it in directly with TGC. Thats the best course of action, especially since Geocities can have its bandwidth limit exceeded.

And Twisted I'd say it would include information for both stock and modified.

I own my own webhosting company, i have some extra space/bandwidth to spare.

Oh sweet, thanks! give me a few more days and the website will be all squared away (minus the content).

Twisted, and Red2k: Im a little confused, you want a mod section, but I already have a modifications section added. Are you guys talking about something else?

Also should I start a new thread for each of the catogories (like model differances/Specifications/ect)? Using the same thread will get messy, and email will be to constricting.

No, you got it.

And I'd talk to Wes (burthold) and VegasMatt because they are setting up the new TGC pages as we speak, and it would be better served along with the forums as it would be maintained by Wes and VegasMatt. Not to say you aren't deserving of it, nor that you can't do it. I merely suggest that since they run the site, and for all intensive purposes are the only ones who can give someone the go ahead to use the TGC name and logos.

Alright cool, I really don't care where this FAQ will be hosted (though hosting on the home site would make more sense considering that 90% of the info on it will be from this site). The only thing I ask is that the menu be kept the same (the whole interface).

Ill contact VegasMatt about the logos (I didn't even think about the copyright  ).

Ya sure throw some up. I didn't really have time to mess around with PS last night, but a banner for the FAQ would be great (in place of the current 2 graphics).

UPDATE: I got most of the "Specs" section done.

Hey Kidd check out this thread:https://www.thegalantcenter.org/viewtopic.php?t=28243

I can't decide which ones I like better, so I'll leave it up to you (I have the origianals which are 1600x1200, but i have no place to host them). https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

VERY NICE! The only problem is that its to large. Try to makeit in the 700x100 area (you dont have to stick exactly to that).

Please don't add graphics and the like at this point. I think it is a great idea that the FAQ get put back together. I'll also see about rounding up 6th 7th and 9th gen folks to help out with that. I would also like to host them here. I am also my own hosting provider and own all the hardware the board is currently on. I want to avoid scattering of data all over and also keep it consistant with what the new look and feel will be.

Thanks for all the work you guys are doing. Remember if you send it to Matt you might as well send it to me and save Matt the trouble of forwarding it https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

I cant help putting gfx in, the program requires me to have logos, though ill keep it really simple. And a FAQ for the other gens would be awsome. Ill send you all the stuff, though I need a way to get it you (FTP?). I can just zip up the website and upload it wherever.

Alright Im going to start another thread about Modificatins to the 8G...
