Why do you want to adjust the timing? Do you have a camshaft and cam gear? Do you have access to a dyno to gauge the results? I wouldn't go screwing around with the timing of my engine just for the hell of it.

reason why i was asking, coz i replaced my water pump before and ofcourse you have to remove your timing belt. after that i put it back and now it seems/feels like its out of timing.

Did you take it to a place to get it done or did you do it yourself? Make sure that indicators points were positioned correctly to assure proper timing. If you did...are you sure you tighten all the T-belt idler and tensioner correctly. I would have it checked ASAP...Mitsu motors are interference motors that aren't friendly when out of timing. :?

There is no way to adjust engine timing other then by redoing the belt job. Take off the timing covers and line up the marks and see if its all good.

if you have a pre 96 (I think) you can adjust ignition timing by swivling the distributer. But if the engine timing is off (the belts) your screwed eitehr way just have to redo them.
