JDM E84A trunk on 97-98?

Subj! Would it fit? I love the way the trunk looks on 94-96, but I like 97-98 tails more.. Would the trunk from JDM E84A fit on our cars? Or is it possible to replace just the trunk light and use it with our stock trunk?

I'm no expert on JDM parts, but it looks to be the same dimension as my 94........I think finding a whole piece with the sides would be your biggest problem....and hey....if you do find some...lemme know... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Your best bet is to get someone to import some tails like that, have them send you the 3 pieces together from the same car.

The only major difference is the 2/3 red upper and continuous color across the entire width. Different look, but I like it.

I find the interior to be interesting looking too.

I am thinking that some E53A Front Fenders, Lip, Headlights, fogs, and maybe some sideskirts like Ako's. hmmmmm Then a repaint to black, lowered, new 17 Gunmetal rims, and perhaps some underbody neon.

97/98 have 2/3 red upper too, but they have a body color plastic piece instead of red color.

Any 94-96 trunk should have the correct mountings for the 3 piece lights and then the lense coloring is just a matter of getting the US or JDM I assume?

Dont think so. I think you need a trunk that has the mounts for that middle lense area.

I have a 98 and I bought 94-96 lights thinking they would fit but I couldnt get them to on my trunk. The outer parts bolt up but the center doesnt. I think they may if you take off the covers but I didnt mess with it much. I might mess with it more once I get my car running...

hey seth, wanna trade trunks and lights? I love the 97's more than my 94's and mine are damn near mint condition....my car is white...so...we would have to paint the trunks if you have a different color...

A guy from the russian Mitsu forum helped to find part numbers in JDM CAPS - the tail was manufactured with the numbers MB944877, MB944303, MR221411. Same part, different years..
Still dont know if it could fit us (( But at least I can check the price for those..

Hey now are those part numbers the same all over europe or is that only in russia. My girl's cousin is in England and he said he would ship me stuff, all I gotta do is give him the part numbers

These numbers are for the japanese right-wheeled cars, they are very popular in the east of Russia, near Japan. But none of these cars are sold officially in Russia because Russia is the part of European Mitsu market, so they sell only left-wheeled Euro cars there.

Would JDM trunk light fit 97-98 USDM with 3-piece trunk?

I doubt those 3pc JDM tails will fit the 97/98 trunk unless that plastic in the middle is removable. But the tails will fit any 94-96 trunk. So just buy a 94-96 trunk or figure out how to mod the 97/98 trunk to accomodate the 3rd taillight :thumbsup:

That light on a JDM trunk is 1pc =) There are 3 numbers because in different years they installed parts with different numbers on JDM E84A.

Ok, here is another question, will 94-96 trunk with JDM 1pc tail fit my 97 G?

Yah I do not see why the 94-96 trunk wouldnt fit your 97/98 car. They are the same cars except few exterior additions.
