91 Eagle Talon

talked to my dad today, he just bought a 91 Eagle Talon...1800 bones, it has 80k miles on it. He wants to do some upgrading, does anyone have any idea what'll fit from the 1g eclipse...he said something's up with the clutch too...any ideas?

Also he said that it failed NJ inspection because of visible white smoke, anyone have any what could cause that...I know the car hasn't been run since 03,

white smoke may mean the oil seals in the turbo have went. Just replace the clutch with an act 2100 or 2600. Do the free mods first. Hack the air can, mod the dump tube, get 2.5" downpipe and exhaust, manual boost controller, and you will have a pretty quick car...

white smoke = coolant - check for blown headgasket, do compression test.
blue smoke = oil - check rings, valves, check compression
black smoke = fuel - yer running rich
