Now I know this has been covered before but I can't seem to find the post.. Ever since I got my CAI I have been idling below 700 RPMs.. So I am assuming it has to be something with the CAI.. did I not let the battery reset long enough or..... what? Any help would be appreciated..

when i did the MAS mod and just built a K&N kone to fit i idle at about 500RPM or so, depends on the temp outside and stuff

does car your car dies after idling low? if it does.. i think you can just adjust the RPM meter ( a small screw). thats what i did just now because i had the same problem just now.

ya know what, i heard from the mitsu casa dat you donot ever touch the screw. that the idling shuold auto adjust cause of your maf. now i've had the same problem for the longest time. idling has been a prob. once, the pipe had a leak, you should check that. or your maf converter has some kind of leak. the check engine shit keeps poping up. always have to reset. so i'm getting custom made cai, a bigger hole on my maf converter about 3 3/4". but i guess we weren't ment to customize. but it's fun to mess with it right?!!

hahah i agreee. its always fun to customize. i mean if it wasnt made to be touched or anything.. they would haave some sort of sign or a cover for it.. its just so tempting just sitting there on top. and also, if there are some loose bolting or small air pockets/leak coming out of the cold air piping connected to the converter could also be one of the big reason..

Only adjust the throttle cable if it is loose and saggy.

The BISS screw on the throttle body is only supposed to be touched if you ground the ignition check terminal on the firewall(if 8gs even have them). Otherwise the ECU will tell the ISC to compensate for whatever adjustment you make.

so what happens if you did touch the BISS screw?
