umm i don't understand the problem, you even gave us a picture of the instructions.

it sticks to the windhield (inside of course) above the center rearview mirror. the video amplifier + goes to a swtiched postive lead (u can use the ACC wire) and the negative goes to a ground or piece of metal on the car. then the coax cable goes from the antenna to the video amplifier to a TV tuner to the monitor. pretty straight forward. is the problem that u don't have a TV tuner?

this is the part I dont get, ground it to any piece of metal and do I need to go buy longer wires . . . . . goes to a switched positive lead ??? I am a newb

One to ground, one to a switched 12v source*. It needs power so it can amplify the video signal it picks up.

*switched 12v source means a wire that only gets power when the key is in the accessory or on position.
