Hey what are some things or mods I can buy or make to make my 94 galant lighter?

I know Cf hood...taking out the spare

But anything else?

Thx

Also I plan on buying a Aem sohc cam gear/pulley
I have cai/muffler already

How many hp do you think Ill be getting?
Btw I know this may not matter but my engine is a newer engine instead of the regular 94 engine so therefore I dont think any hp has been lost due to year wise.

You could take out your AC, your passenger and rear seats, spare tire, headliner, carpeting, stereo/radio/speakers... the possibilities are endless!

Would like a fiberglass door panel or rear deck(dash) be lighter then the stock weight

Because I want to take out the spare, get cf hood and I want to take out the rear dash or either lay fiberglass or w/e so it still looks pretty good

Just trying to look for some either custom fiberglass or like lighter performace parts I guess for my car or just ways to lighten up the car but keeping it looknig good.

Unless you have a DOHC 4g64 from the 94 GS...the SOHC 4g64 have pretty much the same hp rating. I do believe though in 96-98 there was a slight hp increase due to a different intake manifold. Pulleys will add slight hp..but more engine responsiveness. The adjustable Cam gear will add hp's...but if you adjust the timing right.

A C/F hood will get rid of a good 35+lbs compared to the stock hood (I could be wrong about the weight..but the OEM hoods is heavy). Why get rid of the spare??...its not smart to rid of a emergency item for weight reduction IMO. You can get rid of all the seats except the drivers and hell even the door panels while you are it. You can't do too much weight reduction especially if you want to have a LEGAL daily driver. Just built the motor to haul the weight...plug the 7g isn't that bad in weight at all compared to other sedans in its class.

Remove your doors, roof, trunk, crash bar, AC, seats, all interior....replace it all with bubble wrap. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

CF hood and take out your a/c. everything else will make you car look ghetto if it's missing, and you still want to look good you said. just build up the engine, it's not expensive. you're gonna spend more time and money weight saving than just building up the engine for a form of FI or a strong n/a engine.

One more thing.. Don't spend up on some "bling bling" huge chromies. They weigh HEAPS - have a hunt around for some lightweight alloys.

My aircon all up weighed at 28kgs.. Its a hell of a lot of weight lost! Also took out the spare and replaced it with tyre-in-a-can, theres another 10 or so at least. All adds up man!
