i doubt its jdm, and if u look for hid conversion kits they make universals so it could probably fit.

I don't care about JDM. I came across it doing a search for new headlights. I think that this one is a universal kit??? Do y'all know where to get a kit, as bright, for cheaper? I read through his feedback and everyone seems to be extremely happy with the kit.

Know_Fun, in your signature it says that your current project is rebuilding your driver's side axle. You can get a rebuilt axle for like $60.00 with exchange.

Guess you know what you're doing. 8) We replaced the boot on one of my axles. We used the 'real' boots, (not the ones that are split and come with straps to hold it together); and it took us more time than it was worth. We could have just spent an extra $30.00 for the new axle and saved ourselves a headache and about 2 hours.

Not sure if you still need the info on HID kits. Better late than never I guess...At this moment HID kits are illegal to sell actoss 50 states. Companies such as HID's Direct and other big distributors are recalling their HID systems. But if you do want to get one, make sure it comes with a Phillips ballast, and it can have any brand for the bulb. Usually 6000K is the best way to go for brightness and the color. If you want something cheaper, I prefer the Sylvania Silverstar or something along those lines, you can buy them at any auto store, they are like $25 each.

i paid 490 shipped to my door for a CATZ 4300k hid h4 hi/lo conversion kit....they're easy as hell to hook up....thing is....the 8000k or 6000k ....the k is the color temp...not how bright they are...the brightness is measured in LUMENS...not k (kelvin) i believe 4100 or somewhere around there actually has the most lumens....with 6000k or 8000k you're going to turn alot of heads....mine are a really really nice vibrant white....i love them, illegal or not i wouldnt trade them for anything...if you want it...go for it

also remember that the bulbs arent cheap to replace @ all @ an avg of 90 per bulb...and its recommended to replace both of them @ once because the lighting on a used one will be different than a brand new one ...one of my bulbs just blew the other day when sum ass ran me off the road and i damn near wrecked my g offroading..now i only have one lowbeam https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif ....but my kit is getting pretty old...thinkin about replacin it soon...IMO if u dont car about the legalities...GET EM...but i dont like the BLUISH ones....and there not as bright as the lower K hids (as chicago already said)\

ps my fav part of the kit is watching em warm up.....blue to white....SEX https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

From my experience, having had the 9000k HID's in my galant, the brigtness does does go down, just because the lights are so puple...it almost absorbs some of the light. Most factory HID's are in fact 4300K or somewhere along those lines. Most of the aftermarket shops in my area at least reccomend 6000K, just because they are supposively not too blue, but also not too yellow like the 4300K's would be. I think it all depends on the car too. Everyone has their own opinions.
Balast is the most expensive piece to replace, Catz actually has gone out of business (from what I heard) because they put a lot of money into the HID market in US, and when the law came out, noone bought their HIDs. But anyway, Phillips is by far the best ballast to use, Xenon bulbs are also high quality. HID kits you can get from ebay rarely use Phillips ballast, and if i find one that dies, I'm definately getting them.

HIDis by maf more supperior to any other light system...you can see all them potholes before your brand new 19" goes through one of them https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

hey .. ok.. check mine by cliking the www under and see mine.. i haev installed a 10000k .. i got them for 280 installeed.. the best price overall..... not that i think u guys are dum but.. the way hid's work is that the higher u go the lest light it throws out but more color is thrown out..is u want plain white .. u can go with 5000k or i think 6000k..like if someone wants more light as well as a bluish white .. thank go with 7000k.. u want more blue than go with 8000 k.. u wana go like deep sea blue but at some angles it looks kind purple.. than go with 10000.. i do not care about throwing of light but i wanted light hardcore blue so... it still throws enough light on the freeways.. so.. yea... if any question can email me.. later
