i was looking at a 2000 galant vr4 and noticed that it looked like a completely different car. i was wondering what if any similarities there are between the galant sold in the us and the ones sold worldwide?

the 8G (eighth generation) JDM galant (1996+) VR4 is identical to the USDM 8G (1999-2003) except for:

the emblems
the head lights
the fog lights
the tail lights
the sidemarkers
the rear dome lights
the rear powered sunshade
the climate controls
the gauges
the interior
the trunk (around the lisence plate)
the front bumper
the rear bumper
the engine
the transmission
the drivetrain
the wheels
the suspension

other than that, they are the same car.

That's like saying the Galant is the same as a Lambo, except for these few minor differences.....LOL

Try overall performance.
Or possibly just install a lowering spring and pretty much complete your basic upgrades.

how recently? i sold the car in May to some girl. i know shes on 88 sometimes, thats where she said she plowed through a family of ducks. :? so if it was sometime before May, it was me. if not, it was the duck killer with my car, lol.
