Would you like some projectors for your 8G

So i was checking out www.elegantebytyc.com and i read in the other thread that they were going to develop some new tails for the 8G galant. I wouldnt mind a new set of tails either, so i asked them about making projectors for our G, and this is what they said.

the tail light for the 2002 MB Galant and it should be released by the end

Now i would really like a nice pair of projectors for my car, as i know alot of you will. now i guess is to find out how many of you guys would like for a nice pair of projectors and at what cost to let show these people that we really want projectors.

i have an hid kit in my galant now, its bright as hell, but id still love a set of projectors too!

As long as the headlights are under $500, that would be cool. $800, with HID. Quite expensive yes, put these are custom. Cibie projection headlights start at $1000, without HID and they don't have the plastic cover over the lamps, like the stock headlights.

I should have asked them to add some Angel Eyes to our projectors. Oh well, it's not like they are being made this instant, so I guess we can discuss it with them later.

Yeah, put me down for a set with HID (hopefully purplish) + demon eyes too. I actually talked to some company reps at NOPI and they seemed pretty cool...wish I had thought about asking them about these lights then in person, especially since I i could've brought some other club members by their booth.

I want a set, because i was going to mold the Eclipse lights to my car just to have something totally wild on my car.. But if we can get a really good price on a set i would go with these and those demon eyez are a really good idea 2..

i think 500 a set with out HID is a great price and the price that we are willing to pay, now this company needs to see that we are really interested, there has been 127 views on this post and only 11 replys and 20 votes, it doesnt hurt to vote people and let us know what you thinking even if its already been said.

I emailed Luke and let him know that we are very interested, and the price we are willing to pay. I have not gotten a response from him yet, i even told me i got a set of headlights i am willing to donate and that we have alot of owner in cali that wouldnt not mind doing a test fit. just waiting right now. :wink:

Luke contacted me the other day and thanked me for sending him my Photoshop Altezza work. He was impressed and said he was going to pass them on to the people that are designing the 8G taillights. He also mentioned that if I had other work to send it to him, so I did.

I also mentioned that whatever taillights they make to be sure that they aren't very busy looking or like the old Altezza's as the Galant community is very bitter that they were never made (until now) and that they are somewhat played out. I let him know that the black dual taillights I created in P.S. seemed to be the most popular style. I even said that if they replicate the JDM style, people would buy them and would be sufficient.

Luke said something in regards to that they are focusing on the taillights for now but I informed him that the headlights would probably be more favorable at this time as we now have connections for JDM taillights. Either way, it's all in the works. Taillights and Headlights.

Probably not. You guys will have to wait until Jaspen opens his store. I'm hoping the guy can be our official Taiwan connection. I'd be willing to advertise for him.

I'd love a pair of the HID headlights. I'm not so crazy about the tails though.Personally, in my own opinion, I don't see anything wrong with the stock tails. But like I said, that's my own opinion. I want the headlights more so I can SHINE when I'm rollin down the street :shock: Price wise, I guess $800 would be the going price for some HID's, But ofcourse would like to pay less....Way less!!!! Can I be put in the Cali fitting? And the Angel/Demon eyes is a great idea

if they do tails id rather they look like that the "euro style" the altezza look is too played out and it wasent that hot to start with in my oppinion but there people who still like them

I'm down as long as the turn around isn't too long. I know these things take time but I can't wait a year for these things. I am a very impatient person! :wink: The prices talked about seem very fair. I would see if we could get this guy to get the headlights going before the taillights for the same reason that BGR posted earlier.

Well, the guy responded. Once. I guess we'll have to keep checking the site to see if he keeps his word, otherwise, we'll survive. There are other options for us. JDM taillights, Astig's headlight invention.

I just have a bad feeling that if they make 'Altezza' lights, you know the chrome one's that every import (and domestic cars, including TRUCKS) have, that not many people would buy them and the maker will be disappointed. Well, I let Luke know our feelings on these lights. I hope he heeds my message. I also hope he takes note of when I said that the headlights would be more important to us now instead of taillights.

hey i dont mean to be the party pooper,but i know i wouldnt buy em no more.altezzas are (in my opinion played out).maybe if he invents another kind of tail light.he u know wat would look bad as hell BGR .ive seen these new tail lamps in a magazine that the red on the tailamps like angel eyes but in red.i forgot wat magazine it was.the car looked mean.i would definately get something like that.but not regular altezzas,i see them on vans for crying out loud.i dont want the guy to be dissaponted and lose money

The first time that I looked at the headlights of my Galant, I thought that they would look so much better as projectors. I'm so in for $500 if these guys can come up with them. I've done a little bit here and there so far with my car but those would be really awesome!

for us, we like our cars to have JDM parts. likewise , the japanese like USDM stuff. if there was only an easy way to make trades with japanese galant owners.

here's my projector lights with hid. bulbs are used philips 4100k from an audi A6. the blue tint comes from the optics of the projectors.

I can almost gaurantee that you would have to get another HID kit. It's fortunate for me, because I can sell my old one to my parents, and get the new one for like $150. I wanted HID like NOW, so I went ahead an bought them. Then i figure I'll get the right kit when I finish the projectors. :biggrin:

Hey, I don't know if this idea has been brought up before of if they are already been made but...

What about altezza like taillights but instead of chrome or smoked, they match the color of the cars with the whitish clear cover like on the JDM taillights? ( The coloring kinda like some Italian headlights that I've read about on a different topic.)

Alright Astig you convinced me the headlights look hot, lets see if we cant get these projectors made but with some really bright nice looking HID's on it. Like a really blue glow or purplish blue glow, nothing weak!!!! If they were to make it I want this to be very bright!!!! Im in if we can get this done! :thumbsup:

I spoke to luke, and he told me that the production of the projectors will be dertemine if they will take on the project, when they see how well the Taillights sell. Luke said the tails projected to be out in the late first quater or next year maybe even FEB. So if the sales of the tailights do good then we have a chance at the projectors. so i guess its going to be a long while before we see anything.

oh yeah one more thing, he is going to send me some drawings of the tailights for our G, so i am waiting on that so everyone here can see what they look like

ah allrighty kinda sux the way it looks now the projectos (if they come out) arent gona be till sometime next spring or summer damn that sux but lets just hope they get made i wana see these tails hopefully theyre not ricey...
