Sup to everyone here. The board is wild. People please do the search first before the moderator bust a gut https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif I guess it's safe to say i've went through a number of your back posts on 63T and other upgrades for the car. One thing you guys have over other makes is the Eclipse! One of the best BANG for the buck speedsters out there and the numerous interchangable parts with this car. However i still have some questions but basically want someone to verify what i've read so far. Right now I dont own a galant. Infact, I've never driven anything with more than 2drs and a stick. My driver right now is an 89' Conquest. But I'm lookig to add a sedan to my ownership. Best believe the intake will be raped. My first choice was the Impala SS. Not the fake one! But with fluctuating gas prices and no stick, I would be broke and unhappy driving. Though with a turbo, that car would definitely turn back time. My other choices is the 95-99 Maxima with it's VQ30DE power plant (guys are putting down 375-410 on stock internals and tranny) turbomax.com, 98'-2002 Accord with a F23A1 powerplant or H22 swap(Prelude motor) respectable hondas are everywhere, so no need to speak on what those engines can handle or put out, and possibly the Suburu legacys' with the WRX engine swap. Yes those guys are doing that over there too. It doesnt matter the size of the engine just as long as ther is some love from the aftermarket community and it has a stick. What I'm looking to build with out all the hoopla is a clean cruiser by day and a 50/50 in your ass by night. I want decent HP/TQ figures for the track and and a nice handling grocery getter family car for the street.
My questions are G63T swap for 8G aswell as 7G right? Only saw info on the 7G and i dont want to assume any thing. Somewhere I read about different lug patterns in reference to drum to disk swap. 8G awell? I havent seen too many time slips on 8D's with the 63T swap. And would like to hear from those of you who have done this swap. Are there any vids on these cars anywhere? I'm just waiting to see the numerous links to "search" I get. Don't hurt me too bad. Ya'll stay up!

Actually they are people who converted there 94-96 impalas (and some 93-96 caprices) to a manual transmission. I forget the actuall part number T-56 or T-53 which is the tranny from i think some wagon versions. If you want more info on that you can PM me and i'll give you the link to an Impalla Board.

I dont think you can do that engine swap on the 8g.

Are you speaking in reference to the 63T swap?

you can drop a 4g63 into the 8g. but you gotta be careful at which motor you get. the eclipse motors don't work. and the same goes with the galant 4g63. the evo motor will work. but you have to make sure its at least an evo 4. if its an older evo, that motor won't work.

with the brake swap. there's a parts list floating around. the 8g can come with drum or disc so you don't have to worry about bolt patterns

the 7g owners complain about the lug patterns cuz they don't want the 7g GS discs, they want the eclipse's which are 5 lug

Thanks for the info. fellas. Though I am disapointed about the inability to utilize the 63T engine or head from the 1G/2G eclipses  I prefered that due to availablility and cost facter. You got to Pay to Play :!: I suppose I'll look into raping the V6 aswell. Holla!
