trunk flip-top mod...

i remember seein in here that there was a mod on ebay, where u could pop the trunk and it would lift up all cool lookin, like it would be up but u could still see the liscence plate... if anyone has it on their car, hook a nigga up with the material to get this mod done... thanks

no matter what you do, DONT BUY IT OFF ANYONE ON EBAY. you can but the parts for like 2.50 if i recall, and do it you self. its just 2 hinges and 2 locks. i had it done, but i took it off cause i never used it. if you have a system it will rattle like hell. 8)

get 2 heavy duty 3" triangle hinges from any hardware store..the cost like $2. i didi it to my car...u dont even need the locks unless you plan on driving with it like that which is rediculous. youll prob need someone else to help you with this
1)unscrew all for bolts on the trunk arms
2)while someone is holding the trunk in line, line up the hhe hinges with the trunk arm, and mark em with a pen. make sure the bottom bolt will still line up with its original hole.
3) do the second arm
4)drill holes in the spots you marked.
5)screw 1st hinge onto arm., then screw second on....
6) now srew the other side of the hinge to the trun.
7) your trunk will now flip and the bottom of the trunk will rest on rubber of the trunk lining.
8) keep the original bolts, cause when you want to put your trunk back to normal, you need to put in the two lower bolts. i am assuming the flip is only for shows.

i know you wanna keep it like that, but i meant you dont wanna drive with your trunk open do you? lol. in other words, when your done with your trunk being flipped, all you have to do is screw in the two bottom bolts and close your trunk. thats what i do, cause i only flip it for shows....otherwise you will need to install the latches. that way you can lock the latch then close the trunk. but if thats what you want, thats an option as well.im just not sure on the install of the latches...hope i cleared things up a bit..if not just keep askin qs..ill help as best as possible......
