lowerin it, or full blown kit?

If i wind up not buying something else when my G is paid off in june, what should i do? I wanted to put on a whole body kit, but after hanging out with some of the guys off here, and seeing there G's i like the way the car looks just lowered and no kit. Which do u guys prefer? Oh and its a 8G, patriotic Pearl Red.

What I don't understand is why you would get something else after the G is paid off? You like having a car payment?

1. I would get it lowered.
2. Kit
3. Painted. Yeah, I was also cursed with the red pearl factory paint https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

No i dont like car payments. That and, my car is a good car, so i dunno if i wanna buy a new one yet. 60 months is a LLLLOOONNNGGG ass time to pay off a car. But its excitin to get somethin else. I didnt lease because i would be charged up the ass for goin ova in mileage. But i do love my G, so thats why i was an pondering the thought of just modded the hell outta it. I get it painted though, will it match? Car is almost 5yrs old. Thats y i was just thinking about droppin it. Im affraid the paint wont match. Theres absolutly nutin wrong with my paint job, so i dont wanna get the whole thing painted.

I say erac1ng's VR4 lip kit, I like it cause it's subtle. Or you can wait to see if Sense Motorsports comes up with anything.

Lower it first. There should be no question about it.

Unless you like rolling around in a kitted, non-lowered 4x4. IMO kitted cars with no drop looks horrible, so drop it first.

BTW i dont really like body kits (at least those in production now) for the galant, plus the original lines of the G with a nice drop is a great setup.

yea i think the dropped 8g looks better than a kitted one but all together i would drop it first and then save some money and then get a kit. btw how much does it cost to lower it a couple inches. my 18s r coming and i dont want to be like monster trucking it.

TEIN Basic Damper Kit for the 3g Eclipse for you. that's what i'm gettin for mine from the 2g of course after paint and engine rebuild. although, i might keep it flat black for a little longer and do that first. engine rebuild/build up is in store for the winter no matter what though.

but drop it, then kit if you'd like. I personally like the VR4 kit as well.

Well you always have to remember that like you pointed out your car's almost 5yrs old...and there is some (maybe not visual) wear and tear on if not the paint the clear coat...so of corse, if you get a good painter, it will look good...BUT like anything it wont look the same as before..but probebly nothing that just anyone could point out, just a professional painter.....always keep that inmind :wink:
