Lock problem

well a couple of months ago my car wouldn't start up... basically no power, so i took it to mechanic and he said that my master window switch was drawing power even when the car was off... so for the past couple of months everytime I roll my windows up or down, I unplug my window switch. So I finally got another switch off of ebay, but now when I leave the switch plugged, I can't open my door from the outside w/ my key... also I can't control all of my windows w/ my master switch, even w/ my new one... anyone have any ideas???

maybe the new switch is from a different year and the wiring is a little different? only thing I could think of..

maybe the new switch is from a different year and the wiring is a little different? Or the new switch is busted, check the pins for continuty with a voltage meter when you hit the switches to make sure they are working properly...only things I could think of..
