Get the prothane inserts for a 2g. I got mine at www.diamondstarmotorsport.com for $89

Only real pain is getting the old ones out. It is recommended that you have a shop press the old ones out and then press the new ones back in. I just cut the rubber out abd then a small section of the metal mount out and pushed the whole thing out. THe new ones will slide right in, if you stand on them and kinda of jump 8)

alright i installed them, easy as shit... I just put each mount onto a cinch(can't think of the right name) and hammered the rubber mount out, then I chisled out the outer metal lining... but i think somethins messed up b/c at idle it shakes really bad... almost shakes my teeth out  but when I'm driving it's there isn't any shaking just at idle... any clues what I can do... I have a feeling that it is the front and rear mounts :?

Sad to say, but thats normal with these inserts. The engine vibrates more because the mounts are a lot stiffer.

 man i knew it would vibrate a little more, but this is ridiculous... I can't even see my mirrors it vibrates so bad https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif I wouldn't recommend them for a a daily driver... oh well my quest for stock inserts begins

Automatic trannies + polyurethane mounts = 2800 lb vibrator

You'd be better off taking your stock mounts and filling 2/3 of them with Windo Weld. Stiffens up things, but also allows enough vibration absorbtion to make the vehicle livable.

These guys ('http://www.deyemeracing.com') did my Neon's mounts. Their "flex" mounts are great for automatics. The "firm" is too solid for an automatic, and even on a 5 speed it's pretty harsh.

I've not heard of anyone really having good luck with Prothane mounts. Their suspension bushings are AWESOME though.

I just bought the deyeme racing mounts front and rear for the 8g and I have the same problem. It shakes like crazy,The vibration goes away at 1200 rpm.I should have gotten the flex not the firm.I hope these break in and some of that vibration goes away.

It wouldn't be so bad if i were 5-speed b/c all I had to do was keep my foot on the clutch and poof no shakin... but for now, i have to put the car in neutral at lights :?
