best size?

i'm gettin new rims with some working cash and xmas cash. some one needs to buy mine first. anyways, i picked some that are 18"x7.5", what's the best tire size with lowering springs? i have about a 1.5" gap still with 17's and 205/40's. thanks guys/gals.
