AC S7 Guages?

I was looking to get the s7 guages, but it says they only fit directly on to 99-01 models. I have an 03. It says I need the bezel from a 01 model. Im new at this so I dont know what exact part I need. What part is the bezel.

it's just what surrounds the gauges, go on ebay and search for bezel and you'll see exactly what i'm talking about

the bezels on ebay will work but you will have some gaps around the outside edges of the bezel. the light from behind the bezel will shine through those gaps and look shitty.

i had the same problem. i finally just went out and bought the bezel from the dealership.

Your other option is if you buy the e-Bay bezel, put some black electrical tape around the edge of the cluster to fill the gap around the blue gauage surface and the edge of the housing.

hey guys, i went to the dealership today to ask how much a bezel would cost, and the guy said 56 bucks! am i getting ripped off or what?? i would rather get a stock bezel than an E-bay one with gaps. and also, is the reason for getting the bezel so it wont look like this?

yes the bezel is there so it wont look like that. $56 is cheaper than what the dealer ship here wanted. they said something like $75. try a junk yard or something first. the dealerships are proud of there parts and charge alot to much for them.

cardude, i have the same stock bezel as you show in that pic. i bought the real carbon fiber bezel (like the ebay ones) and no light shines through. i can send you pics if youd like.

that is exactly the reason for getting a bezel on a '02+ 8G. here's what the '99-'01 bezel looks like w/ EL gauges:

does the dealership carry gauge faces.. ?.. arent bezels the outter part of the gauge thing?

neel, the bezel im talking about is the plastic part that covers up the dash, if u see the pic i posted, and compare it to reelex's pic, the bezel is the part taht covers up the edges of teh gauges and makes it look better.

k thankx.. nice.. i wanted to put indiglow gauges which we can get on ebay .. but never did.. as they only made for the v6 ones. so... does any one know how to do it .. hey cardude.. did u buy them?

here they are. the flash kinda screwed up what we are lookin at. in the pics it doesnt even look like the lights are on. i got a close up of the corner to show no light around the edges.

when i installed mine, i did have to play with it for awhile to get it just right where no light would come through.

thanks for the pix. how much did that bezel cost you? and how does it stay on? and whts that little silver thingie underneath the speedometer?

Another thing you can do is just take out the bulbs in the back. That is what I did...

oohhh, thats a good idea. so how much of a gap are we talking about?

i bought it for like $20 or $30 from dnaracing, i dont think he sells them anymore.

it is just laying flay against the guages. it has tape on the back side to stick it down but i didnt use it.


in the picture below....the plastic piece that is circled in red i cut out so the carbon fiber bezel would lie flat against the guages. the peice that is circled in yellow is where that silver thing is your talkin about, its behind that peice. since i cut out the plastic peice that silver deal shows now. there is a screw in that hole.

ohh, ic. do you think using thick foam double sided tape up top somewhere would level it out so i wouldnt have to cut that out?

ya that might work. i didnt want to tape the bezel to my guages incase i ever wanted to take them off. didnt want to take a chance of cracking the cf bezel or messing up the stock guage face.

i have a stock bezel from a '99 that im about to put in. i can send you the bezel in the pic that i already cut if you want.

are you talking about the CF one? cuz i thought you meant you cut the stock bezel and put the CF one on top

ya i cut the stock bezel. but since i cut that part off, there is nothing there to hold the cf bezel. the cf bezel sits against the face of the ac guages. i didnt want to stick the cf bezel to the ac guages or the stock guages so i didnt use the tape.
