0 gauge is huge. what are you running? make sure you grommet the firewall like a mofo so your car isn't shooting sparks in the future from points where it's shorting out. you'd also pretty much kill any electronic in your car if you get that unlucky https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

0 guage is no big deal to run. i have it and ran it with no problems. i ran mine through the drivers side fender and the install looks super clean if you do it this way

...one for the power and one for the 0 gauge ground....

Why the hell would you run the ground wire back through the firewall? You want it to be as short as possible and grounded to the chassis close the the
amp(s).

Well, not really. Even in parrallel, both batteries are using chassis ground - so one would be grounded in the engine bay, one grounded int he trunk... I must be mising something b/c I see no reason to run a ground from the trunk bat to the engine bat...

YOu remove any ground loop that you might have in the system. I had a ground loop in my system and I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it, so I had to run a dedicated ground wire to the battery and it took care of it.
