I don't wanna break nothin but I'm trying to pull the back deck/dash out to replace my speakers. Is there something that just pops right out or what? :?

well you have to take out the rear seat because there are 3 plastic screws behind that and then you have to take out your rear sail pillars because they hold that rear deck down. and then it should come rite out

How exactly does the seat come out? I'm going to look it up in the 8G Manual but experienced info would be nice. Thanks

no prob.....on first you have to take out the bottom part of the seat. reach under the front part of the cushion (by where your legs hang over) and there should be one plastic hoop thingy on each side pull on those and they should release the bottom half of the seat take that out and then youll see the screws that screw down the brakets that hold down the upper part of the seat there should be like 4 screws. after that pull the seat upward and the whole thing should slip up and come off....hope that helps not sure i explained it good enough

A quick search turned up:

https://www.thegalantcenter.org/viewt...k+seat+speakers ('https://www.thegalantcenter.org/viewtopic.php?t=24836&highlight=back+seat+speakers')

which even has dismantling diagrams posted by yours truly...

Ok, so I took out the bottom part of the seat and I saw the screws to take out the back rest but when I tried to get them out, They didn't budge at all. Not even with the power drill. It started smoking and shit https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif Damn they got that shiznit tight :x . I'll try something different, I got a friend with a hydrolic drill and I just might have to use it if nothing else works. :?

....righty tighty lefty losie

You'd be surprised how many times I repeat that to myself... usually when I'm under the car backwards and upside down...

As a joke, my buddy used an engraving tool and put ON ----> and Off <----- on all my ratchets...asshat though it was funny, but it acually helped, it sux when u try hard to get something off and realize you've been making it tighter.

Problem! I got the screws out but now what do i do about the rope thing that goes from where the seat flipls down to a spot in the trunk. It's holding the seat in I think!

Do you have a manual? It shows all the screws/bolts to remove to take off the rear deck...I think seth has it on his website at www.iamsethmo.com/Manuals

that belt just unsnaps in the trunk near the top of the trunk.

if you open the trunk and pull down on the clip that holds the rope, it should come out.
