I would think they would be to simpy show more of the road in front on you and to your left and right. They look like they're aiming more to the side than to the front anyway.

It's not dual fogs. One set is driving lights, the other is fog lights. The beam pattern, intensity and aiming points for each is different...

Also your answer is wrong. The lights located outside is called "cornering lamp" here. They are synchronized turn signal. Inside lights are fogs.
