I put on my 19s today and found out that I did have to roll the fenders. It wasnt that bad and only had to do a small part. I used the old aluminum baseball bat trick where you cut the metal a bit and just roll the inner fender back. I just took it for a test spin and only on bumps it seems I have just one small spot on the passenger side that needs to be finished off.

All in all, I was worried I was going to mess something up but I actually did an OK job.

i need to do mine too... once i put the cambers, the back rims will probably hit the inner side... should i just bend it with a bat or hammer? who or where can i get the tool to roll it?

forget about buyying a fender roller cause they cost like 5 bills easy. A heat gun and a bat is all you need.

yes I have a camber kit so it sits perpendicular to the ground thats why I rub. Not alot, but it does. When leaving the tire shop yesterday it sounded like I was dragging a dead body under the car it was rubbing so bad.

which wheels and width/ offset? are u running 225/35zr19 or bigger? the shop that did my car had to cut half of my inner wheel well to get my 19's to fit. i have camber kits to... i think u pretty much have to roll the rear fenders if u have camber correction on 19's becuase the wheel tops don't tuck as easily after the camber has been reset..

i have had 19's and 20's on my g and with the 19's i had no problem with the rims rubbing even with the car on airbags lowered to the ground.

I hope you painted the metal after cutting it so it doesn't rust.

Anyway, I was rubbing in the rear with my camber kit and 18s, so I had the camber set to -1 degrees and no more rubbing. -1 degrees is still within spec according to my Galant shop manuals. My tires aren't wearing unevenly either. There is no way I could take a bat to my car. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

Yes I painted the metal too, I know how you feel about the bat, but it turned out ok, I wasnt worried about it.

Oh yeah, after i took out my Eibachs and lowered the rear more with the Tein's I was rubbing bad. I ended up putting on a camber kit and like DanJ, set it at -1 camber which is within tolerance. I don't rub right now, but it is soooo close when you hit the bigger bumps. One side is closer than the other too which I found interesting, but was told by the shop that it is common for one side to stick out more than the other.

Quick question. I am thinking about buying these rims http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbr...el=DPK+-+Chrome ('http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Motegi&wheelmodel=DPK+-+Chrome') (19x8) from a guy that has them on his eclipse. My problem is rear camber; even though I only have a 1.8" drop in the back (with subs in the trunk), my rear tires went bald after about 15,000 miles. What if I take the lowering springs off of the back? Should I switch to Eibach which doesn't have as much of a drop (I think it was 1.4" front, 1.2" rear)? I see everyone talking about rolling the fenders, how difficult is it to do, how much does it cost, and where should I get it done?

Thanks in advance...

I got quoted about 20 bucks a fender to have a shop roll mine...not sure if its the same anywhere else...

I'd have someone do it for that much for sure. I can't find shops around here that'll do it for cheap. The one shop just wanted to cut a portion out on each side. I think the bat trick would work if someone has done it a couple times. I'm not going to practice on my car though. So props to anyone who has the courage to get into their car like that and be successful.
