Hood Pins and those of you without them

Just curious to know despite what happened to Kevin Me(twice) and Pedro who here still doesn't have hood pins. And how fast do you drive? I know the wimes My hood flew up I didn't have the hood closed all the way but I dont like hoodpins and my next hood I dont want to put them on it so anyone still not have them?

when i 1st got the vis cf hood i didnt have hood pins for about 2 months.

whenever i drove above 60mph i could hear the hood rattling on the latch. the fastest i've ever gone was 85 w/o pins. but i only did it for a couple of seconds. for those 2 months the fastest i've ever gone was 65mph on the freeway except the one time i went up to 85. god that was such hell, i was one of the slow drivers lol.

you guys know i'm the local hood pin expert, and i say for your application, you need 14 pins.

ok really, put your pins as far to the outside of the hood as possible. don't make the huge mistake that i did and put them towards the middle. the corners of my hood would get a little floaty on the highway at 70mph+. fixing that mistake had the lamest end result (4 pins :cry: )

yeah I think i have mine like kevin does....well the same person installed it i think. but I've hit fuel cut and no problems I just dont like hearing all the squeeking
