are you talking about the rubber thingie holding the bulb in? cuz there is a sort of metal hinge you have to unhook before you can take out the bulb.

Are you squeezing the connector in the proper spots to make it release?

my left one always gets really stuck from some reason just keep at it and when you go to put it back on use some electrical lube so it wont stick again

There's two small tabs that you need to push down on in order to get the harness off. If all else fails, try pushing the harness forward to tighten it, then push the tabs in and try removing the harness. That "resets" it sometimes if it's stuck.

the tabs are on the side closest to the bulbs of the harness. just pinch them horizontally and it should slide right out

If my harness gets stuck, I just use a pair of pliers and squeeze at the sides horizontally. Just be careful because I cracked one of mine. Also doesn't help that my harness kinda melted, but it still works.
